Yan Yee, who has never won an individual SEA Games gold medal before, chalked up 342.90 points to clinch the first gold on offer on opening day at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil.
Dhabitah, who was the final athlete to carry the torch to light the cauldron during the opening ceremony last Saturday, settled for silver with 311.25 points.
Singapore's Ashlee Tan took bronze with her last dive for a total of 233.60 points.
